Today was the official kick off of the construction phase of the administrative hotel complex project CPI City Center in Olomouc, for which GRISOM provides Project Management and Technical Supervision. The traditional laying and tapping of the foundation stone was attended to by the investor’s representative and the tenants of the future multifunctional project namely CPI Hotels and Raiffeisenbank.
The construction of the complex ties in with the 1st phase of the project, during which in August and September demolition works were underway. These works were necessary to remove unwanted objects and structures on site to make way for a new congress centre and office building in an 18 month window. The first tenants of CPI City Center Olomouc began moving their furnishings into the object in the spring of 2013, and in September the new Clarion Congress Hotel shall begin operations. The anticipated project costs are 520 million CZK
The foundation of the new complex will be the reconstruction of the existing Hotel with a new modern interior and standards imposed by the new operator, internationally renowned Clarion Hotels. Beside the dominant hotel structure will be two new build objects; one a class A office building with a total area of 6 300 m2 and two a retail area of 1100 m2. In the interior courtyard is designated for a congress centre with a maximum capacity for up to 1400 visitors. The complex further includes double floor subterranean parking.
The CPI City Center Olomouc Project has a total useable area of 22 700 m2 and functions primarily as an office and hotel complex. Based on the needs of the city to provide a quality foundation for modern commerce it will broaden the attractiveness of Olomouc for business clientele and potentially tourists.
